From the bottom of my heart, I do believe in humanity. My heart tells me everything is going to be better, people wiser in the next generations.
There is an important psychological secret in that topic:
I believe in humanity, because I believe in myself!. When I did not have trust in myself, I did not trust to humanity either. I have changed very much last years, changed my priorities, transformed my negative visions into positive once. If I could, everyone else can.So many people are changing themselves, changing their beliefs, becoming more sensitive to the needs of other living beings, to the needs of our planet, they are changing their visions of future.
We live in very interesting universe: whatever we see, and believe in, it starts to materialize, sooner or later. Our brains are very sophisticated instruments which create our material reality by power of their electromagnetic waves. Our brains, our visions are the strongest creative force we can imagine. There is nothing what can overpower that. EVERYTHING WHAT WE NEED FOR CHANGE THIS WORLD IS WITHIN US...IN OUR VISIONS.

It is very important to have appropriate visions. We are creators, we should create the best for us and future generations...and the other living beings on our planet. We have responsibility and power do do it for ourselves, our children and grandchildren.

My vision of future is the following:
1. People living in the eco-cities and eco-villages
2. Using renewable energy sources, as well as energy from the Universal field. which do not pollute.
3. Due that, people will be much more healthier, much more connected with the nature, so they will be able to live much longer and happier.
4. Humanity (or at least a bigger part of it) will learn a lot about power within themselves, so they will be able to expand their consciousness towards the good for all, towards the compassion and understanding the others. This massive process already started. Nobody can stop it any more. Expansion of consciousness makes people able to see and do things from completely different perspective: for the highest good of all.
5.Expanding of consciousness will make us more powerful to change our own lives and more compassionate towards other living beings on Earth...that means no killings any more, just respect to the every form of life. Because we are all part of the One Wholeness.
7. Expanding of consciousness will remove prejudices and create peace and cooperation among people on Earth. We have so many challenges and problems to solve, there will be no time for fighting. A lot of work has to be done...in order to secure our existence on Earth.

An ecocity is a human settlement that enables its residents to live a good quality of life while using minimal natural resources.

My religious beliefs are different from yours, so I had to get past that. When I did, I was happy to see you and your community spreading a spirit of joy, respect, and responsibility. It's also great to see so many other people doing so much good for Mother Earth.
I agree that spreading the message of love is the best way to help the world. Science needs to be done, but it's the love inside the scientists that tells them to contribute their effort and talents to the most important cause (in my opinion) there has ever been. Everyone, however they contribute, can have love in their hearts. That love has the power to heal this world; let's all help each other to identify and then work toward our most noble goals!
May the commitment of such good people around the world raise the consciousness of all.

Great hub! I'm a strong supporter of sustainable development and reduced consumerism (without which no development is sustainable). I also agree about positivity, but not as anything mystical. I'd rather say that positive attitudes lead to ideas and the will to put them into practice, after which success is really down to pragmatism and sound scientific application.

Dear Paraglider, I cannot agree more with you, I am also very practical person. Meditation and expansion of consciousness give us ideas, many of them, how to solve individual and global challenges, and we have to put these ideas and plans into the practice. But even if one has only ideas, somebody else will pick them up and realize them. We are all connected, so good ideas inspire everybody. We are all one. There is nothing mystical in that fact...like you, I believe in practical realization of highest ideals of humanity, sooner or later. They can be realized, only when this ideals are supported with energy of pure love, because in unconditional love, there is no difference, no prejudices, no "you" and "me", we are all One. When someone see, feel and KNOW that we are all one, it is not possible to feel anything else than forgiveness, compassion, joy, UNDERSTANDING, and wish TO COOPERATE! The best ideas and plans come from open heart and love for all.

Having experienced the results of negativity has led me to believe in the plus points associated with positivity ... LOL! However, it is not all that easy to be an exponent of positive thinking especially if you have been at the receiving end of the results of negative thoughts. The total ignorance of negative thoughts generate marvelous results. I know that for sure! The mind is a strange thing, when fed with a little negativity it tends to nurture and allow it to grow. Dear Quicksand, thanks for your comment, I agree with you. It is not easy to be and stay positive, it asks from us a big effort, especially in the beginning. But, it is worth of trying, anyway, it is free of charge, he, he. After some time practicing positivity, our brain get used to the new patterns, new positive nets are being made. When someone sees first positive results of one´s positive thoughts, this will give big inspiration and push to carry on with positivity. It is more then worth trying.
We humans have nervous system and brain which has to be trained to stay positive and compassionate to the end of life, in order to overcome our insctinctive reactions (fight or run)... That is the reason it is better and easier to show that positive aproach to the children, so they can have an POSITIVE EXAMPLE from their young age. On that way, they will be used to the positivity... and create their future with love, freedom and respect to all.
This is the best gift we can give to that planet: our Love for ALL, our creativity, cooperation, great ideas, the highest ideals... instead of fear, let us give to this world and future generation TRUST IN THE LIFE and its marvellous possibilities...

I have been to Auroville in Pondicherry with my parents when I was a kid. I never realized it as an ecocity. I hope to visit it again and other ecocities someday..

Heh, you ar right, Brenda, being positive is not easy for some people, requires a lot of practicing and everyday effort. Some others, who have habit of being optimists, are naturally positive, and do not see anything unusual in that. It all depends about the habits you have from early childhood...
