Fear from death is one of the worst human enemies - beliefs that this life is ultimate experience and only possibility for achieving all goals and fulfilling all desires create tremendous pressure on people and make them to behave possessive, selfish even violent, in order to try to materialize all their intentions.
Because of fear of death we feel the shortage of time, what results with the feeling that we do not have enough of anything on this planet. Time is so important factor in materialization of our intentions - for realization of so many wishes and goals everyone of us has, we need much more time then one life brings.
One human life is actually very short, so if someone feels limitations of one-life-experience, unknown date of death, nothingness or just final judgement afterwards - it is not strange that fear from the future (or from the lack of future) creates mental and emotional unstability and many existential crisis, individual or global.
Many people feel continuum of their personal existence through the time and through the many lives, before this one or afterwards - what we call reincarnation. Our souls travel through the time and space by changing the various bodies and co-creating this universe through many different levels of existence.
I am blessed to be born without fear of dying. When contemplating about death, I can see only ceaseless life and can feel only joy, freedom and new choices coming on my way, and on the way of others, who left their bodies. So I cannot be really sad when somebody "dies", because I know we will meet again, and I do not feel that this person really disappears (except material body) - I just know that is not possible, life goes on, in another form, our essence cannot die, essence or soul, lives forever and transforms forever.
I am not talking about any religious belief - it is just knowledge, cognition...
There is nothing in this universe but life, consciousness and creative energy of the universe expressed through various personalities - human or non-human, materialized or vibrational (spiritual). Our bodies are solidified ideas which our souls create, our lives are the movies which our souls imagine - experiences which we choose to live, in order to learn and to evolve.

Some of my previous lives
Few years ago, after one period of extremely intensive meditations, I started to remember some of my previous lives: I did not ask for that, the pictures and memories just started to arrive in my mind.
When this happens, one just knows that this is real memory. In the majority of the lives I remembered, I was man (men) - in one I was Buddhist monk, in one was goat`s shepherd in the mountains of Balkan, I was soldier in the Middle Age somewhere in Europe.... etc. In this life, I adore meditations and part of me would like to be in monastery, I adore wondering in the mountains, and many of my friends were soldiers.
While remembering mentioned experiences (they were few more, as I was also living in ancient Egypt, and was Native American etc), I did not remember any traumatic experience, nor I became connected with all the details from my past. These memories came just like information to my soul - inner knowledge, that this my life was not the first one.
I did not feel any confusion because of different gender - soul does not have gender, and can choose any of them too pass through the desired or needed experience.
Remembering of past lives was very intensive in that period, I also remembered some other people whom I was in these lives connected with, which are my friends in this life, and after few days, memories just spontaneously stopped.
I did not stay stuck in my past lives - nor I felt that I should - this life is the most important one on which any of us should concentrate, despite anything what happened in the other lives.
Future lives
In my next lives, I will continue some unfinished stories with some people from this life, which makes me already very happy, I am also very glad that I will see much more wonders in this neverending Universe of ours. I have at least 6 new visions about my next lives, and I am very sure that my new creations will materialize after I leave this body.
Certain relationships with some people we just cannot conclude in one life - some of them are so intensive that they "ask for more", but not in the circumstances of this life. They will be continued in some other life, or on another level of existence.
When I speak about "past lives" and "future lives" I use linear concept of time, but actually time is not linear on higher level of existence - time is omnipresent - everything is happening NOW, so for the next life, we can choose to be born in the linear past, if we want so. We can also choose life in some other dimension, on some other planet, or on any other level of existence.
Our essence is immortal, multidimensional and lives in the everything and everybody at the same time, so can choose whatever has desire for, always... Life is neverending story, it is our most precious gift which cannot be taken from us, we can just transform it and shape it on another way.
Unconditional love is above death and destruction - gives to the everybody always another chance, another creative point of view to express itself.
Death is only illusion, it is step further into new choices and new paths of life.
Life is beginning and the end of everything while knowing it, we can relax and let ourselves to enjoy that life- we have enough time to fulfill ourselves completely - while swimming through the shining, loving wawes of eternity and immortality.

Tatjana: I have had three spontaneous past life regressions, and have an awareness life does continue, yet, I am still affected emotionally by death. I was not afraid or sad because of death of the others as a child, and then was not able to understand why people cry, when I felt only relief, because suffering of person stopped, but this person was still around. If I was sad as a child, I would still have to cry now.

He, he, he, AIDY, you are still young and you can improve this life as well. Even this life can be great despite any traumatic experience we passed through. Believe me, I am living example...There was time I was thinking that my life is hell, now I definetely changed my mind.
The life is just what we perceive it is, in order to progress we need to feel good, so everyone of us should find the ways which make one happy. Meditations, reading, spending a lot of time in the nature, and homeopathics helped me to achieve positive state of mind and positive feelings as well.
You also have your key in your psyche which just need to be turned on - and a lot of joy will overflow you in this life. Love is always the key: at first fall in love with yourself, your whole life will become the miracle. You deserve the best!

Hi, PP, glad to see you here, as always. He, he, I tryed very hard not to sound religious, because reincarnation is not religious thing, more "spiritual" or better - real for me. I do meditate last 10-11 years very actively, actually meditations saved my life and gave it deeper meaning. Everything is better with meditations, they activate many centers in the brain which, without them, stay dormant. It is not important which type of meditation someone uses - each one has the same effect: better focus, higher levels of energy, higher level of self-healing and creating better life. At the same time, I need to meditate when I heal people with bioenergy, he, he.....Due to the meditations and healing the others, I have found out so many things....
Memories on past lives occurred spontaneously - when such things happen, everyone just knows that this is true. Hm... everything what we see and live NOW - whole our life is just - concept from our brains - not more, not less. What we believe in, we desire and visualize (good or bad) and this comes into realization in our life. So this life is just materialization of our thoughts, belifs and emotions... concepts from our brains - compressed. When we change concepts, we change the paths in our lives. When I first time realized that what is in my head I materialize in my life - even the tiny little details...I needed few years to fully comprehend that and start to use that in everyday life.
My life as completely my creation - wow! I just need to imagine something, believe in that and things will start to materialize (if I let them to). The same is with others. But people usually have big mess in their minds, so they do not recognize their own creations, because there is not always logic in materialization - some things occur earlier, some later, some just come from fears or any traumatic experience, some materialization occur even after watching movies - if we get emotionally involved, some from the beliefs, etc, etc
When someone meditate, there is less chaos in the mind.

The truth is - we live all our lives at the same time (time is omnipresent), while choosing incarnation, we choose linear time for that incarnation. We also choose the incarnation which is most inspirative and eucative for us, so it is not important is this incarnation in past or future from now.

Great hub. I have had past life memories for a long time. One that still sticks out is the one where I am standing in a desert watching soldiers or a posse riding at me on horseback. When I went in for hypno-therapy to help my second marriage, the person performing the hypnosis, took me back to just that time. I don't know what it meant, but he told me to come back because he would like to do some more tests with me. He actually put nail marks in my arm while I was 'under' and I didn't feel a thing. I never went back, I don't like remembering what is happening to me. It's the same when I have to go in for surgery.
I'm gonna send you my experiences in mail... nice knowing... there're some Christians who do believe in reincarnation.

I just had written a book about my past lives and how they have affected me. This was a very interesting read. I also have no fear of death it itself(though I admit I do fear of dying a torturous death because that is how I did in my last life)... maybe peacefully in my sleep is fine by me lol.

I have always believed we've lived before and will live again, but I've not had the clarity of thought or spirit to know where I have been previously. The idea that time is not linear and we can choose to live in the past as well as the future is an intriguing one that I have never truly considered before--I will ponder what that could mean.
I still fear death, but age tempers that somewhat. I do envy your serenity and hope to get there myself someday.

Your subjects adored you. As you walked your kingdom, for you never used a carriage, the peasants threw flower petals at your feet and handed you the most beautiful cloth they could spare. Judeo-Christian concept is based od "sinns" and "suffering as punishment", and it is very painful to live on this way.
You have Indian blood - so you need just a little of effort to fully awake the true knowledge within you. No religion has all answers, because that ones who organized them made sure that answers will be not found.

I remember when I was about 4 years old about a recuring dream that I had. In the dream there was this black spooky large locomotive train and it's coming after me. Later in the dream I'm in this place laying down and there is brick all around me, and by my feet there is like a small door. I become a wiff of smoke and I escape through a crack. At that point I would wake up.

In the New Testiment it says It is appointed for man once to die and after that the judgement. I can't remember exactly where. But I read it a while in my bible.

Hi Tatjana. I read your hub with great interest and like your point of view. The only question that popped in my mind while reading it is: If with reaincarnation souls choose their own lives in order to learn and evolve, why would a soul choose to reincarnate into an evil human being, like you find plenty nowadays? There is certainly no evolvement in leading such a life.

2.even from evil can be learned a lot - at least what is the effect of evil deeds on other people and one`s own life
3.the lessons are not learned only during the life here, what about learning after "death"?

I find this subject very interesting. Not sure where I personally stand on the issues you raise. I had a girlfriend once who was convinced she had lived in France in 1920s and 1930s. Which was interesting because I once had a "reading" from a spiritual teacher who told me I had lived in France many centuries before. I could not really relate to either but am open-minded about it. Would be prepared to learn more.

Very nice story and very uplifting but it doesn’t really prepare people for what they are likely to encounter should they truly revisit their past lives. Usually when a glimpse of a true past life reveals itself it will be something traumatic, like a death for instance. In fact the reason that the majority of the population refuses to even entertain the idea of past lives is because deep down inside they know they have done horrible things in the past, as we all have, and they don’t want to remember those things. We have all committed at least some atrocities in our countless billions of lifetimes. We have all been torturers just as we ourselves have been tortured. People who believe the past is some kind of magical fairytale are usually in denial and are not remembering true past lives. Also be aware that should any of you ever gain the capacity to truly comprehend the concept of eternity (no beginning and no end) you might just find it a million times more frightening than most people find the prospect of death. I’m not saying you should not try to remember I’m just saying be prepared for what you might find. There is not a single soul in the universe who has not at one time or another done some pretty horrific things. But dealing with and accepting those things will actually help you in life as you may find that the guilt of these things has been holding you back in your present life. In fact I would say that the only real valid purpose to visit past lives would be to address unresolved trauma. Unfortunately there are many people who do it because they feel very insignificant in this life and they want to remember a time when the lived a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Anyway don’t worry about the bad stuff, all that really matters is what kind of a person you are now and in the future. Also you do not have to meditate or use hypnosis to remember past lives. In fact under hypnosis or even in meditation we are somewhat suggestible which means our minds can insert things into our memories that didn’t really happen at all. Its best to use memory exercises to rehabilitate the memory, reaching further and further back into time each time. Also its important to remember that we carry memories that are not our own. For example you can remember being a clam if you want but in fact you never actually were a clam. This is because in addition to our own memories which we take with us from life to life there are also memories which follow the genetic line of our bodies. So although we can remember these genetic memories as if they were our own we were never actually there when these events happened. Also if you should uncover a past death and it’s a real one you will re-experience all the emotions you felt at that moment. Basically you will suddenly sink into a deep depression for a few minutes and you will remember the exact thoughts that went through your head upon your death. With any memory, present or past life, you need to go through the moment many many times in each session to make it more clear. Each time you go over it more and more details will reveal themselves. This is infact the only way to separate the false memories from the real ones. Sometimes you might have to go over something 50 times to clear it up and separate fact from fiction. By the way to those people complaining about the supposed misquote of the Koran all I can say is how do you know it did not once say that. The bible at one time had references to reincarnation but those references were expunged 1500 years ago by the emperor Justinian. Also both Christianity and Islam are offshoots of the same parent religion, Judaism. And consequentially both the Bible and the Koran are based on some of the exact same stories. It was mere mortal men who decided which of these stories to include in these respective text and over the years since there creation other men have taken things out or changed things along the way so how can any of us know what the real whole story is. My point is there is no reason to argue over petty details of books that have been edited and changed hundreds of times over the years. Also to those people who talk about the sole not dying with the body, you talk as if the sole is some separate thing from you. The sole IS you, the body is the separate thing. So you are not a body and you are not a sole you are just you and you are occupying a body in order to experience and interact with the physical universe. Anyway good luck to everyone and Tatjana, don’t ever loose that beautiful smile and positive attitude.
Tatjana: I hope you don’t mind but I would like to address Edlira’s question from a few months ago as it illustrates one of the main misconceptions people have about past lives. She talks about reincarnating into an “evil sole” as if one can just change soles. The “sole” IS you and you cannot be another person, you can only be you and you simply take on new bodies over time. And a body, in and of itself, cannot be evil. It is just a mechanism through which you experience the physical universe. Anyway a person becomes “evil” because over time he is driven to be that way. And although past life experiences can effect us in this life to a certain extent, nobody is born “evil”. In every case it is their treatment by others and their experiences in this lifetime which drive them down to a psychological level where this kind of behavior occurs. And as I pointed out before we have all murdered innocent people at some point in our past. Nobody wants to believe this of themselves of course but its true nevertheless. Take me for example. I’m probably one of the most honest, ethical, all around nice guys on the planet and I could not harm a sole except in self-defense. But this has not always been the case. Just one of many examples that comes to mind is an incident which happed eons ago in which I strangled a girlfriend to death after she cheated on me and then proceeded to taunt me about it. Of course anyone who knew this particular girl would probably say she deserved it but that’s not really the point. The point is, over the course of billions of years we have all done things we are not proud of. Fortunately for us though each new life is like a do-over – a clean slate. Also, I’ll let you in on a little secret; it’s all just a big game anyway.
This is the truth...Imagine what life would be if all 7 billions of us would know that...
we are not evil.....humans are not evil.....we are children of the Universe....and everybody knows how easily one can scare a child....ignorance on the other way ....it's our fault....the truth stands so simple...so right in our face...
