Almost 20 years ago I started to read books from Jane Roberts, and for first time I found out the fact that we are creators of our material reality. Although in my heart I recognized that as a truth, my brain could not fully accept it for very long period of time. I must admit that it is easier to believe that we are paying debt for our past mistakes, or getting punished by God, or that we are just helpless creatures ruled by forces of destiny...then to accept full responsibility for the whole life-creation. So I also needed my time to start changing my beliefs, and started to change little by little over the long period of time... many of my beliefs.
Seth´books from Jane Roberts were that ones of many of them which helped me to gradually change my beliefs and start to think with my own brain. Have you ever read any of them?
They are "Secret" before the "Secret" , great teachings of Law of Attraction, the books which inspired Dan Millman ("Peaceful Warrior"), Shakti Gawain, Richard Bach and millions of others on their spiritual path.
For the ones who do not know, Jane Roberts (USA, 1929-1984) channelled a personality named "Seth", who dictated through her 35 books about various aspects of human nature while explaining to the people how to create their own lives on satisfactory way. Hm, I personally do not believe that she was really channeling any entity: I deeply believe that her consciousness expanded so much that she came into the contact with universal knowledge: when this happens to anybody, we are able to see the truth of life on completely different way then before... Well, for many people is easier to accept this experience if they start to believe that they channel some "higher spiritual being"...then to accept that their own consciousness can be so full of wisdom.
On one way or another, Seth books have been huge inspiration for many people to start to explore their own possibilities.

Hi, Tatjana! I love the Jane Roberts books, at least the few that I've read. My library includes two of the Seth books. I haven't seen anything written about this series for years, I'm glad that you've introduced Seth (and Jane, of course) to the many who have never heard of them.
Thank you for your comment, KCC, people who are channeling are so often very unsure what is really going on with them.
For the people who are listening them, is easier to believe in "some spiritual being" behind all story... many people adore when there is something "mystical" going on around. But the most important is, that they learn something new what will expand their consciousness... what will help them to start to think on the new way.

The books are great too Tatjana, I read ALL of them, and then passed them on. It is fascinating stuff, as the chap channeling was completely a disbeliever at first, but once he heard the tapes of him in trance played back to him, it shocked him seriously. He then went on to continue channeling Silver Birch for many years, (until his own death). In this time many spiritual people, Priests, Vicars etc came to "see" him, and ask questions, and left amazed and stunned by his teachings and Wisdom, plus those who tried to "catch him out"... failed miserably, and left extremely humbled. All this kind of information is covered in the inside covers of the/his books.
I like your positive point of view, BKC.
BTW, Jane Roberts is spiritual classic, she published her books in 70ties, but today people need to reminded again on her very valuable work for the humanity.

BTW I do belive in channeling, but I think that people do not channel somebody outside them, then when they enter in the trans, they come in the contact with universal knowledge and intelligence which is part of our higher conscioussness... But there is no difference...knowledge and wisdom are part of everyone of us...

No I haven't Tatjana, in fact I passed the books on to my older sister who first recommended them to me. It is such a huge topic, and the feedback may well include so many evangelical Christians claiming it is "the Devil's work" that it puts me off writing it, even though I am 100% certain it is NOT anything to do with the devil.

He, he, some Christians are so afraid of devil that they see devil everywhere... Actually devil is created by people who are afraid of him.
Half of the Bible is also based on "channeling" - prophets were also channeling, weren´t they?
But I agree with you - is always better to avoid the problems, then to create them...

We have Seth's book here at home, thanks for reminding me to read her books again. Its important to bring this message to everyone, that we are not "worms" of the earth and the mercy of an unfriendly universe, we are literally powerful creators for "better" or for "worse"
I need to ask a question, what about events such as the loss of a child? How can we feel in "control" of our destiny when these unexpected events happen in our lives? This has been bugging me lately and if you or anyone has thoughts, would love to hear them.
And Cindy... thank you, thank you for mentioning Silver Birch's books, had not heard of him. I have a nephew who uses spirit communication through words gathered at random from the dictionary, and the messages are not always high ones. He gets called names like "stupid', etc, and no matter what I or his Mom has told him, he does not believe its lower entities, he thinks they are just strong, firm . I will get him this book for Christmas, and also read them myself. ;)

people are very far from being in control of their own lives - it is better saying that our lives are ruled by our own good and wrong beliefs, visions and emotions, and as such, look like ruled by some other force who wrote them.
Some of that belifs we inherited by our parents, some of them we build on our own, but - they are still created by ourselves.
When we come to the death of the child we come to the most sensitive human experience, because level of pain because of loss is very intensive... but - the problem is still the same: what we believe about that experience?
If we believe that death is great step forward into the new life experiences which are not possible here on Earth, and that person who "died" decided to choose some better world to evolve, there is no much reason to be sad for long time - on the contrary. Life here on the Earth, is very difficult experience for many, it is not strange that some souls do not want to pass through all levels of suffering here... Life in some other worlds can be really - easier. Your newphew had chosen - better life from himself - he is on better place now, and he is NOT SUFFERING - FOR SURE! He is happy and very content with his desicion. He learned what he wanted here on Earth, and he did not need to enter deeper into earthly experience...
Sooner or later our bodies need to die. Soul continues with new experiences.
Motherhood is not easy experience. It is not easy to let go the child, even in the better world... It is never easy to let go anyone, lover, husband, parents, children, friends...when they are far from us, we feel abandoned... Even if they had chosen - better way of living - here or somewhere else...
Life is always personal choise...and lessons we decided to learn in the life, and experiences we have... a lot of major events we always create - before we get born...in order to evolve and learn something new.
No, we cannot control every aspect of life - for sure. It is too complicated. But we can - learn and BELIVE that God/this Universe/our own souls - created all what is happening - WITH PURPOSE and LOVE, with thiw new belief, even the most tragical situation - does not look tragical any more.

Thank you for your inspired response, it totally resonated with me. I guess being human sometimes I need to be reminded that all is the way its supposed to be, and my nephew chose not to continue evolving in planet Earth but beyond which is a beautiful place. I actually have misty eyes right now because I felt my energy shift in my mind and heart. My s/o Phil, always tells me that this is life is a dream, so I guess I am being reminded again, which is good.

I have one of the Books Seth Speaks, It is ratted and torn, but I still have it. Funny how a couple of week ago there was something on FB that asked the the 3rd chapter 3rd paragraph and 3rd sentence and it was from the book Seth speaks that I got it. I don't remember what it was though, but do know that it was right on.
I too beleive in our own higher self and that is what guides us and I don't beleive in the devile or Satan either. You can see that by all my hubs on religious matters. It's all a "Blame Game", It's easier to blame someone else for their actions then be self accountable for their thoughts.
Yes I know thoughts do necome things and still trying to get my head around that sometimes. It slips sometimes.

My favorite book from Jane was "The God of Jane." I really witnessed her brillance and desire to discriminate perception from reality. I've read the Seth books and really enjoyed them but "The God of Jane" really made the most impact on me. Jane was a courageous and determined woman. Thank you for your Hub - I loved it!

I totally agree with you. I don't believe Jane or Esther actually channel anyone and frankly, I think it hurts their crediability with many people. But, you're right, for some, it helps to think they are getting some kind of special info.
